Make private label details part of the product brief
A label, hang tag or custom package affects both product presentation and production planning. Define them alongside the cap structure, not after a sample is approved.
List the required components and where each belongs: inside label, woven tab, back label, hang tag, individual bag, insert card, carton mark or another approved format.
Prepare final artwork and wording
Supply approved files for logos, labels and printed packaging. A vector logo is preferable where available, while mandatory wording, care information, sizing or destination-specific text should be supplied by the buyer in final form.
Confirm actual dimensions, colors, material, finish and placement. A visual mockup does not necessarily contain every detail the supplier needs to sample the component correctly.

Match the packing to handling and shipment
Individual protection, shape support and carton packing should fit the product type and destination. A soft beanie may need a different packing approach from a structured brimmed cap whose crown needs protection in transit.
State packing quantity, barcode or carton-mark needs and any destination restrictions. This prevents packing from becoming an undefined final step in the production brief.
Approve the complete branded sample
Before bulk planning, check label legibility, tag attachment, logo placement, packing protection and the way the complete product is presented. Compare the physical result with the approved brief, not just with a screen design.
For a particular market, the buyer remains responsible for providing required label content and applicable market requirements. Confirm those details early enough for the approved sample and production instructions.
